2013 MelOn Music Awards Top 10 - Who Will Be Named K-Pop's Best Artist Of The Year?

MelOn, South Korea's largest music streaming site, is getting prepared for their annual MelOn Music Awards next month and have released their list of the best and brightest K-Pop artists of the year.

So far, 2013 has been a tremendous year for the Korean music industry. With a shocking amount of innovation and variety, idol groups shared the spotlight with a host of talented soloists, many artists branched out into different genres and styles, and a long list of rookies hit the scene with a vengeance.

MelOn narrowed the laundry list of talented acts down to ten who had a strong impact on K-Pop this year as the 2013 MelOn Music Awards Top 10.

The winners include Ailee, B2ST, Busker Busker, Davichi, Dynamic Duo, EXO, G-Dragon, IU, SISTAR, and SHINee.

The ten elite artists were selected after considering their individual online sales numbers (80% of the ranking) and the results of an online poll (the remaining 20%) that saw an astonishing 1.74 million votes cast.

LOEN Entertainment, MelOn's parent company, noted that there was a strong presence from male pop idols in this year's music sales - pointing out that G-Dragon, SHINee, EXO and B2ST were all chart toppers and fan favorites.

Additionally, LOEN explained 2013 saw a good showing by female vocalists with Ailee, IU, Davichi, and girl group SISTAR topping the list.

The addition of indie-style pop with Busker Busker and famed hip-hop pair Dynamic Duo to the list of 2013's hottest artists proves that K-Pop is diversifying and welcoming new styles with open arms.

The top ten acts will be recognized at the MelOn Music Awards ceremony on November 14 where they will go head to head for the titles of Best Artist, Best Album, and Best Song. The final decision will be made through a second round of online voting.

Other categories that will be officially awarded at the ceremony are Best Newcomer, Hot Trend Award, and Best Global Artist.

The MelOn Music Awards will take place at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul on November 14.

BEAST Yoseob: 'Instagram betrayed me', Chooses Twitter as His New Option

The B2ST idol confirmed having an account on Twitter through his Instagram account. He posted his message saying, "After continuous betrayal from Instagram, I lost my trust (?) and thought a lot. I decided to make a Twitter account. I'm just going to use it as an account for B2uty and B2ST, and now you can see B2ST's news and Yang Yoseob's news on Twitter instead of Instagram! My weird photos are special. My Twitter account is all4b2uty. Follow, gogo". Hmmm.. curious about what made Yoseob decide to open an account in Twitter.

Yoseob's Twitter account has two of his new tweets. One of the message that he tweeted, "This account is of B2uties, by B2uties, and for B2uties. Since it's been a while, it's going to be a test..", and the second tweet says, "Just like Instagram, I'll put up a lot of photos and words. Like the name, it's an account for B2uties. Instagram betrayed me ㅜㅜ".

Well, as long as you can interact with this cutie idol just follow him anywhere in social networks. That's what loyal fan girls are all about in K-Pop world (^_^)

HyunA-Hyunseung Trouble Maker Come Back Stronger and Sexier?

Trouble Maker's comeback is catching much attention.

4minute's HyunA and B2ST Jang Hyunseung's joint group Trouble Maker is a unit group that shook the industry in 2011 with their song 'Trouble Maker.'

Today, Trouble Maker announced through a video on YouTube and Facebook that their comeback is on October 28.

JYJ Jaejoong's Upcoming Album Expected To Be An Impressive Mix Of Talents

Since the announcement that JYJ member Kim Jaejoong would be releasing his first full-length solo album, WWW, at the end of this month, fans have been super stoked to see what the talented singer plans to bring to the table.

In the past couple weeks, fans have gotten a taste of what is in store with teaser images, details revealed by the singer's agency, and the pre-release track "A Sunny Day."

C-JeS previously revealed that Jaejoong had spent months preparing for the album release and that album will make a strong statement with rock'n'roll sounds.

On October 18, the full track list was released to the public, and in it, some surprising details.

Not only is "A Sunny Day" featuring Lee Sang Gon of Noel receiving a lot of attention and praise, but there is significant buzz about the JYJ member's collaborations with B2ST member Yong JunHyung for the track "Don't Walk Away" and YB's Yoon Do Hyun for another song "Luvholic."

Those aren't the only iconic names involved in the making of WWW. Jaejoong enlisted the help of iconic Japanese rock bland Glay's Takuro, Blackstreet composer D.Brown, and a incredible number of Korean rock musicians like drummer Hyesung (of metal band PIA), guitarist Hullang, and bassist KiBum.

Additionally, nearly every single track has Jaejoong's hands on it somewhere. Fans are expected to be impressed by Jaejoong's original lyrics in 10 of the 13 songs, as well as his talents in composing and arranging the tunes.

WWW stands for 'Who, When, Why' and will embody a variety of rock genres including metal, punk, and Brit pop, among others. The album is set to drop on October 29.
